Service
TraceRepo provides repository indexing, code search, source browsing, architecture and flow exploration, guided learning, and AI-assisted explanations for GitHub repositories you connect. Features may evolve during beta.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live and must provide a GitHub account you are authorized to use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for protecting access to GitHub.
Your repositories and permissions
You retain ownership of your repositories and content. You grant TraceRepo only the permission needed to read, process, index, store, and display repository content to provide the service. You must have the right to connect each repository and to submit its content to the configured infrastructure and AI providers.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to access repositories without permission, violate law or third-party rights, probe or disrupt the service, bypass quotas or security controls, distribute malware, or use generated output as a substitute for required professional or security review.
AI-generated content
AI answers can be incomplete or wrong even when citations are supplied. You must inspect cited source and independently test important conclusions. TraceRepo does not guarantee that generated explanations identify every bug, vulnerability, license obligation, or architectural concern.
Availability and limits
The service may be unavailable during maintenance, provider outages, capacity limits, or beta changes. Daily AI quotas and operational rate limits may apply. TODO: the owner must define any paid plans, support expectations, and service-level commitments before offering them.
Intellectual property
The TraceRepo software, branding, and service interface are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of your repository content to TraceRepo. TODO: legal review must define ownership and permitted use of feedback and generated output.
Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for misuse, security risk, legal necessity, or discontinuation of the service. TODO: define notice, appeal, export, and deletion processes before launch.
Warranties and liability
This section requires jurisdiction-specific legal drafting. TODO: counsel must provide the final warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity terms, governing law, and dispute process. No company registration, business address, or jurisdiction is asserted in this draft.
Contact and updates
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@tracerepo.com. Updated terms should show a new effective date, and material changes should be communicated appropriately.
